

Beloved son of Sam and Marilyn Sclafani; dear brother of Michael (Carrie) Sclafani; loving grandson of Patricia Ayotte; caring nephew of Susan (Kevin) Fairless, Joanne (Matt) Pochmara, Michael (Kristi) Ayotte, James (Donna) Ayotte, Walter (Kris) Ayotte, Phyllis Grady, Margaret Arnett, Gerard (Linda) Sclafani; many cousins and a great many friends. Samuel was predeceased by his grandparents Walter Ayotte, Sam and Virginia Sclafani, his uncles Dennis Ayotte and Barry Arnett, and his aunt Nancy Sclafani.
Samuel was born the son of Sam and Marilyn (Ayotte) Sclafani in Royal Oak Michigan on December 26, 1977. He grew up in Royal Oak and Macomb Township Michigan and graduated from Chippewa Valley High School. Sam attended Eastern Michigan and received a degree from ITT Tech and trained at Detroit Recording Institute where he also worked as a sound engineer.
Sam was passionate about his family and his music, especially guitar, which he played and wrote songs for. Sam was a poet. He loved adventure, traveling to Puerto Rico, Europe, Tokyo, and to exciting events like Mardi Gras, New Year’s Eve at Times Square, Woodstock II, and many others. He was a big fan of all Detroit sports teams.
Samuel’s family will receive visitors for a memorial gathering on Saturday February 17th, 2018 from 10 a.m. until the time of funeral service at 12 p.m. at Pixley Funeral Home, located at 322 West University Drive in downtown Rochester, Michigan.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests ‘You Hug Your Children and Tell Them How Much You Love Them’.
