Steve was born the son of Frank and Elizabeth Krystoff on March 13, 1949, in Detroit, Michigan. He graduated from Warren High School, class of 1967. Steve was married to Bonnie Tucker until their divorce in the 1990s. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Lawrence Technological University and his master’s degree in engineering from Oakland University. Steve was remarried to Patricia McNeely on August 31, 2002, in Rochester Hills where they made their home. He had a successful 35-year career with AMC and Chrysler, including traveling the world as an expert witness. Steve was a member of St. John Lutheran Church as well as the Harley Davidson Owners Group.
Steve touched the lives of so many people through his work, hobbies, and friendships. He was a hot-air balloon owner and pilot; motorcycle enthusiast; and rollerblader in younger years. Steve genuinely loved people.
Steve is survived by his wife Patricia Krystoff; daughter Stephanie ( Mike) Addison; stepdaughter Jennifer (Eric) Seres and stepson Jeffrey (Eron) Schoolcraft; grandchildren Charlotte Addison, Emily Seres, Ashley Seres, Alex Seres, Andrew Seres, and Aria Schoolcraft; siblings Jim (Lori) Krystoff and Betty (Jack) Merlo. Steve was predeceased by his parents.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday July 1, 2025, from 3 – 8pm at Pixley Funeral Home, located at 322 W. University Drive in downtown Rochester, Michigan. The funeral service will be at 11am (10am instate) on Wednesday July 2, 2025 at St. John Lutheran Church, located at 1011 W. University Drive in Rochester. Entombment will be at Guardian Angel Cemetery at 2pm.
