

Beloved husband of Darlene; dear father of Marc (Marie) Stolaruk and Ann Marie (James) Sullivan; grandfather of three and great-grandfather of two; brother to Olga Schlum and Mary Warstler. Steve was preceded in death by his first wife Vivian, his brother, and four sisters.
Steve was born to Steve and Mary (Zalama) Stolaruk in Royal Oak Michigan on August 1, 1926. Steve attended high school in Madison Heights. In 1944 Steve joined the United States Marine Corps, and served as a Private First Class in Japan during WWII.
Steve was a true entrepreneur in every sense of the word. Steve's first company was Stolaruk Asphalt, and throughout the years he started Star-Batt Inc., the ConCorde Inn hotels, as well as commercial and residential land development.
Steve’s passion was for work, music, family, friends and philanthropy. Steve had a great love for the accordion, and was one of the founding members of the Michigan Accordion Society. Steve was also very active in many different organizations and charities.
Mr. Stolaruk will lie in state on Saturday February 17, 2018 at 9:30 a.m., with Mass starting at 10 a.m. at St. Irenaeus Church located at 711 Old Perch Road in Rochester Hills Michigan.
