

DeBAENE, Walter T., Jr., “Buzz”, age 77, a life-time resident of Rochester until retiring and moving to Traverse City ten years ago, died September 10, 2013, at Munson Medical Center. Buzz was a 1955 graduate of Rochester High School and a 1959 graduate of Notre Dame University. He retired from Textron Automotive Co.and was a former member and board member of Great Oaks Country Club. He also was a member of the Society of Automotive Engineers, loved hunting, fishing and playing golf with a 1 handicap. Beloved husband of Patty Evanson DeBaene whom he married September 13, 1958. Proud father of Joseph DeBaene, Angela (Gregory) Buser, Sally (Terry) McCarthy,and Joanie (Jud) Gibson. Also surviving are his fourteen spectacular grandchildren and his cherished four great-grandchildren. Brother of Mary Lee (Walter) Kowalczyk, Janice Bossin, Diane Dimoff and Joanie Warrington. Former father-in-law and friend of Jim Kirby. Son of the late Walter and Sally DeBaene and a friend of Bill W. for 37 years. Funeral Liturgy 10:00 a.m. Monday at St. Andrew Catholic Church, 1400 Inglewood @ Northwood St. in Rochester with burial in Mt. Avon Cemetery. Visitation Saturday and Sunday 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at PIXLEY FUNERAL HOME, 322 W.
