

Alan lived life with a truly vivacious spirit. He had a deep love for the outdoors and could often be found on the golf course or out fishing, enjoying the simple pleasures that brought him happiness. He valued time spent with family and friends and created many lasting memories with those who knew and loved him. He was active in his community with Gates Chili Rotary and Boy Scout Troup 327. He worked at and loved RDA Container all of his adult life. The community there has been an additional family for him.
Alan was preceded in death by his parents, Reg and Marion Brant, his brothers, Terry & Dale Brant and many loved cousins.
He is survived by his loving wife, Elaine Brant; his brother, Donnie Brant; his four children, Ellen, Ted, Josh, and Cathy (Scott Crego); and his three cherished grandchildren, Henry, Wyatt, and James. He had a big heart and was honorary dad and grandpa to many. He will be deeply missed by his family and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Alan’s life was one filled with love, laughter, and a passion for living fully. His memory will continue to live on in the stories shared by those who knew him and in the hearts of the family he loved so much.
Relatives and friends may pay their respects during calling hours from 4 p.m. - 7 p.m. on Friday, March 13, 2026, at the Alvah Halloran & Son Funeral Home, 2125 Chili Ave. Rochester, NY 14624. The family has invited anyone attending to wear their favorite golf shirt to the calling hours in honor of Alan's favorite pastime.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 14, 2026, in the All Seasons Chapel at White Haven Memorial Park, 210 Marsh Rd. Pittsford, NY 14534. Interment to follow.
