Diane Lorraine Pelkey (Thibeault), born on June 4, 1953, in Worcester, Massachusetts, died on September 27, 2025 at Light Hill Canandaigua Comfort Care, at the age of 72. Diane, who fought a courageous battle against cancer this past year, passed away on a beautiful sunny day surrounded by those she loved, just as she wanted.
Diane was predeceased by her parents, Marguerite and Edmond Thibeault; her brother, Paul; and her husband, Howie. She is survived by her sons, Everett (Erica) Hasselstrom, Jr. and Keith (Myra) Hasselstrom; her sister, Gail Litchfield; her loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In her younger years, Diane enjoyed gardening, crafting, and sewing. She always loved making a big batch of sauce for her boys. Since moving to New York, Diane cherished spending time with her grandsons, watching them play sports and games. She especially loved it when they read to her, and she adopted their pets as her own, considering them her best buddies.
Funeral services will be private. Her family extends their gratitude to the staff and volunteers at Light Hill Canandaigua Comfort Care Home Inc. for their wonderful support and care.
