Ron was born and raised in Rochester, NY, the son of the late Theresa & Alfred Stein. He worked as an Insurance Salesman at John Hancock for 28 years. After retirement, Ron enjoyed driving school bus for the Churchville-Chili and Spencerport School Districts for several years.
He was devoted to his faith and was very involved in his church, Spiritus Christi. He enjoyed singing in the church choir there.
Ron had a great love of the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He was proud to be the Charter Captain of a fishing charter service out of Braddock’s Bay for many years. Ron also loved to entertain, often holding large holiday get-togethers for his family and friends where he could showcase his love of cooking and baking.
Above all else, Ron was a family man first and foremost. He will be forever remembered as a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, and dear friend and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Ron was predeceased by his wife, Linda, his parents, and his siblings, Robert Stein and Marjorie Baron.
He is survived by his children: Ron (Jody) Stein and Keith (Alecia) Stein; grandchildren: Josh (Kayla), Jesse (Lauren), Aubrey, and Kolbie; great-grandchildren: Mason and Avery, as well as several dear nieces, nephews, and several cousins in the Rochester and Buffalo areas.
