Theresa Ann Myers (nee Presutti), passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 1, 2026, at the age of 93. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Kenneth L. Myers; and she is survived by her daughter, Anita (David) Morabito, son, Stephen (Lorraine) Myers, and grandchildren, Rachel and Pamela Myers.
She was predeceased by her parents, Paul and Carmella Presutti, by her sister Carmel (Michael) Adams, brothers, Bernard (Mary) and Joseph Presutti. She is survived by brother-in-law Douglas Myers (Meg), by her sisters-in-law Donna Presutti, Linda Torpey (Richard), Deborah Myers, and by her many nieces and nephews.
Theresa lived her life in the Rochester, New York area. She met Ken at the YWCA and they were married for 47 years until Ken's passing. For 30 years, they lived in a house that they designed and built within Greece. Afterwards, they/she lived for over 30 years in Chili. In addition to her children, she had a dog in her youth, "Lucky", raised two cats with Ken, Peanut & Toby, and for the past 17 years, her closest companion was her cat, Peaches (who incidentally, at an estimated age of 19, or 93 in cat years, passed just two days prior to Terri. So, they will be together always....)
Terri was infamously known for her "Nana-isms". Examples include going to "The Home Depot" for lunch (the actual name of the restaurant is "The Depot") or stating that she did not like watching television series despite the fact that she watched every episode of NCIS! And she always got the last word - in her family of four, the other three would each get a quarter vote and she would get one full vote!
Terri was an amazing typist! Before the days of word processors, she could easily type 85 words per minute without errors. Most of her career spanned contracted jobs typing at home and then working at Greece Central Continuing Education. She was also incredible at caning chairs, having learned the skill from her father. Additionally, she was excellent at stenography - often writing gift lists in shorthand so no one else in the family could "sneak a peak"!
She enjoyed traveling, especially car rides. One of her special interests growing up was New York City. And, although Ken was the love of her life, Robert Redford was her "hunk"! Often you could find Terri vacationing with Ken, family, and friends in the Adirondacks or just relaxing, knitting, cross-stitching, puzzling, painting ceramics, or simply reading a good book. She always liked to wear well-coordinated outfits, including a matching Vera Bradley purse.
Terri was compassionate, gentle, and kind. Occasionally, however, her ferocity would show, especially when defending her family - thus her nickname "Terri the Tiger"! She will be greatly missed by her loving family and many dear friends.
The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the staff at the Wegman Family Cottages for their loving care, and the staff at Parklands of Chili where she lived happily independent for more than three years. The family would also like to especially thank Dr. John Robb who has been her physician for over 40 years and who always went above and beyond in his care for her.
As per Terri's wishes, services held will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations to honor Terri can be made to Rochester Regional Health Hospice & Palliative Care Services or to Lollypop Farm Humane Society and Animal Shelter of Greater Rochester.
