

Jack Skeba, 95, of Baden, went home to be with Jesus on Sunday, April 2, 2017. Jack was born July 17, 1921 in Morgantown, WV son of the late Nicholas and Antoinette (Punko) Skeba. He proudly served his country with the U.S. Army as a gunner with the 14th Armored Division, 48th Tank Battalion with tours in France and Germany during WWII. During his years of employment Jack worked at American Bridge and later as a meat cutter for Foodland. He enjoyed watching football, but his passion was gardening. Jack was a member of Valley Christian Fellowship.
In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded by his daughter: Lorraine Skeba Jones; and his brothers: John and Steve Skeba.
He is survived by his loving wife of over 71 years: Theresa (Yaworsky) Skeba; and his son and daughter-in-law: David and Mary Anne Skeba, White Oak, PA
Friends will be received on Friday, April 7, 2017 from 5 to 8 p.m. and Saturday, April 8, 2017 from 1 to 2 p.m. at the SAUL-GABAUER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 273 Route 68, Rochester (adjacent to Sylvania Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum)
Military Honors will be presented Saturday, April 8th at 2:00 p.m. by members of the Beaver County Special Unit followed by his Home Going Service, Rev. Patti Elliott, officiating. Interment will follow in the John F. Kennedy Memorial Garden, Sylvania Hills Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions, in memory of Jack Skeba, may be directed to Good Samaritan Hospice. Jack’s complete obituary will appear in Thursday’s TIMES.
