

Born on May 18, 1938, JD was a resident of Aliquippa, Pennsylvania.
Jimmy was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle. He was very giving man with a big personality. He was a friend to everyone and always helped someone in need. He was a very hard worker. Jimmy loved his family tremendously, especially his Grandson Christopher Myers which he loved going to his baseball and basketball games where he loved "Keeping Score".
Jimmy graduated from Aliquippa High School class of 1956 and was a huge Quips Football fan. Right after graduation he started working at J&L welded tube in Aliquippa where he was " The Boss", and he then worked at the airport, in security for 15 years, where he worked as a supervisor, and that is how he got his nickname 'JD'. Then in 1961 he married the love of his life Joann Dean and were married for a wonderful 64 years. Jimmy was a dedicated member of House of Prayer Lutheran Church in Aliquippa. He served his church as Council President and a custodian for 30 years and loved participating in the food bank.
In addition to his wife Jimmy is also survived by his daughters Sherrie Myers, and Michelle Cumberledge (Lee) of Aliquippa. His Grandson Christopher Myers of Colorado, his two sisters Mary Towery Burns (Edward) of Tallahassee Florida, and Gloria Dean Hill (Alfred) of Albany New York, his brother in law Richard Pfeifer (Janie). He will be missed by many nieces and nephews.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his sister Delores (Dean) Johnson, and his mother Ella Mae (McMullen) Towery and his stepfather Alvin Towery.
Friends will be received at Saul Gabauer Funeral Home 273 Route 68 on Tuesday March 31st from 4-6PM. A Funeral Service will be on Wednesday April 1st with a viewing starting from 9-10 AM with the service immediately following at House of Prayer Lutheran Church 2100 Irwin Street Aliquippa, PA 15001, with Rev. Michael Sourwine officiating.
The family would also like to give a special thanks to the staff of Caring Heights in Coraopolis for the tremendous care they gave in his final days.
