Joseph R. Weishaupl, age 92, of Freedom, passed away on Saturday, January 27, 2024 at his residence. Born February 8, 1931, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Ludwig and Elizabeth Weishaupl. Joe was an avid bird watcher, and he was a proud U.S. Navy Veteran.
He is survived by one daughter; Ramona (Lou) Armstrong, ten grandchildren, and twelve great grandchildren. Also surviving is one sister; Louise Weigold, as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by; one son; Verne, one daughter Nioma, one sister, BJ Werwie, three grandchildren, and one great grandson.
Friends will be received on Saturday, February 3, 2024 from 10am, until the time of funeral services including full military honors at 1pm at the SAUL-GABAUER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 273 Route 68, Rochester (adjacent to the Sylvania Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum).
