Mabel Pittavino, age 101, of Zelienople, passed away on Wednesday, January 1, 2025 at Passavant Retirement Community in Zelienople, PA. Born, June 22, 1923, in Bellefonte, PA, she was the daughter of the late William and Verna (King) Bowen. She was a graduate of Altoona Business School, and a member of the Eastern Star since 1953. Mabel was formerly a member of the Madison United Methodist Church in Madison, PA. Mabel enjoyed traveling, swimming, listening to music and reading the Bible.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband; the late John Pittavino, a son; Stanley Pittavino, a daughter; Suzanne Weigner, and five siblings.
She is survived by two sons; Rodney (Carol) and Bentley (Ellen Pomerantz) Pittavino, a daughter-in-law Jeanne Pittavino, a son-in-law Mark Weigner; six grandchildren; Gregory (Erin), Anthony, Michael (Amanda), Julianne (Christopher), John (Judy), and Alexander, along with seven great grandchildren.
Family will be received on Monday, January 6, 2025 from 12:30 pm until the time of funeral services at 1:30pm at the SAUL-GABAUER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 273 Route 68, Rochester (adjacent to the Sylvania Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum).
