

She was the daughter of John and Barbara Kubilis from Youngstown, OH. Millie who entered the world on January 9, 1922 and became the baby sister of 3 older brothers, and 5 older sisters who have all preceded her in death.
Mildred met and later married Charles H. Gorrell on July 4, 1945 and they settled in New Brighton where he started his police career in Beaver Falls. Charles passed away January 21, 1983. They raised 6 children. Barbara (Larry) Rosensteel., Patti (Van) Golmont, Jacqueline Pomaybo, Charles H. (Tammy) Gorrell Jr., Richard Gorrell, Diane (John) Voycik. 13 Grand Children: Vannie, Kristen, Tracy, Rachel , Loren, Missy, Jennifer, John, Matthew, Hali, Charlie, Lisa, Michael. 13 Great Grand Children: Reese, Olivia, Conner, Trevor, Hayden, Maddie, Riley, Cameron, Savannah, Luke, Jackson, Everly and Patrick.
Millie was a stay at home mom until the last child was in junior high. She worked as a bank teller at the Beaver Falls Savings and Loans. She volunteered as a secretary at the Ostomy Society of Beaver County. She owned her own craft shop in New Brighton. She made over 300 fleece blankets for family, friends, babies, and 150 went to two VA nursing homes.
She believes in giving rather than receiving and was an inspiration to her family and friends.
Friends will be received on Sunday, March 19, 2017 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the SAUL-GABAUER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 273 Route 68, Rochester (adjacent to Sylvania Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum). The Memorial Service will be conducted by Rev. Thomas Kredel on Monday, March 20, at 1:30 p.m. in the funeral home. The family would like to thank the staff at Katera’s Kove for the care she received. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
