

Patrick Joseph “P.J.” Grimes, III, 47 of New Sewickley Township, passed away unexpectedly, Saturday, October 29, 2011 at UPMC Passavant, Cranberry. He was born in Aliquippa on October 26, 1964, son of the late Patrick and Carol (Hosenfeld) Grimes, Jr. For the past six years, he has been an employee of Federal Express and previously spent twenty years working for US Airways.
P.J. was an amazing husband and loved spending his time with his beloved wife Bobbi. He was always selflessly helping everyone he knew. He had a great love of the outdoors and going to the beach. P.J. was very compassionate about caring for animals. He often volunteered for the Beaver County Humane Society. He will be sadly missed by his beloved dogs Charlie and Pepper.
He is survived by his loving wife of 12 years: Bobbi Tatko-Grimes; three sisters and two brothers-in-law: Carol Grimes-Ritchie and husband Marty, Hopewell Township; Patricia Grimes, Aliquippa; Judy Grimes-Smith and husband Chester, Darlington; two aunts: Sister Mary Cordia Grimes, CSJ and Sister Ursula Grimes, CSJ both serving at Sisters of St. Joseph, Baden; uncle: Joseph P. Grimes and his wife Mildred. P.J. was the beloved son-in-law of Robert and Marge Tatko; brother-in-law of: Cindy Tatko and husband Richard Cunliffe, Susan Tatko-Kemerer, Beth “Peppy” Tatko-Eckman and husband Rick Eckman, John “Buzz” Tatko and his wife Jessica Tatko, Kathy Tatko-Alvarez and husband Joseph. P.J. was loved and greatly admired by his god-daughters and nieces: Robin Smith, Leeanna Eckman and Kaylie Tatko. He was a great and beloved uncle to his nephews: Ryan Kemerer, Matt Kemerer, Phillip Cunliffe, Jeff Eckman and wife Julia Eckman, Jeremy Eckman, Bradley Eckman and John “J.T.” Tatko. He will also be greatly missed by his special cousins: Marianne, Michael and Christine Grimes; dear friend Jennifer Brinkley, and many other cousins, extended family and friends.
Friends will be received Wednesday, November 2, 2011 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 o 8 p.m. in the SAUL-GABAUER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 273 Route 68, Rochester (adjacent to Sylvania Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m., Thursday, November 3, 2011 at St. Cecilia Catholic Church, 632 Virginia Avenue, Rochester, with Fr. John Getsy, officiating. The public is kindly asked to go directly to the church on Thursday morning. Private interment will follow in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park.
