

Philip W. “Foxy” Fox, Jr., 73 of Rochester, surrounded by his loving family, went home to be with his Savior and Lord, Friday, September 9, 2011. Philip was born April 28, 1938 in Palmer, PA, son of the late Philip and Margaret (Norman) Fox. He retired from the Maintenance Department of Valvoline Oil.
Phil was a real history buff. He had particular interest in Beaver County History and was an active member of the Beaver Area Heritage Foundation. He enjoyed participating in the re-creation of Lewis and Clark Expeditions; and other historical re-enactments with the Beaver Valley Buck Skinners.
In his leisure he liked camping, wood crafting and acrylic painting on mediums ranging from slate, canvas and wood. He took particular interest in hand painting Christmas Ornaments for each of his grandchildren every Christmas Season. They will be gifts they long treasure.
In addition to his parents, Phil was preceded in death by his granddaughter: Cassandra Alam; his brother: Charles Fox and sister: Anne Paul.
He is survived by his loving wife of 22 years: Linda (Flowers) Fox, Rochester; two sons: Philip (Pam) Fox, III, North Sewickley Township; Dan (Sarah) Keener, Center Township; seven daughters: Elaine (Richard) Alam, Rochester Township; Carol (Ralph) Newberry, Delmar, DE; Nancy Fox, Rochester; Michelle (Louie) Nye, New Brighton; Rachel Fox, New Brighton; Beth Keener and her fiancé Ed Hubley, Kingsland, Georgia; Lorraine Doutt and her fiancé Steve Myers, of Seven Fields, PA; 25 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter; four sisters: Phyllis (Melvin) Leichliter, Aliquippa; Norma Lane, Fairchance, PA; Karen (Ken) McAllister, Fairchance, PA; Jane Benford, Masontown, PA; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received Monday, September 12, 2011 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. in the SAUL-GABAUER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 273 Route 68, Rochester (adjacent to Sylvania Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum). His service will be held 11 a.m., Tuesday, September 13, 2011 in the funeral home with Pastor Jack Brooks, officiating. Private interment will follow.
