Sean Edward Shields

Sean was preceded in death by his Mother, Linda Johns, Monaca. Grandparents, Walter and Mary Lou Shields and Ernest and Rose Johns, both of Monaca. Uncles, Leonard Shields, Monaca, Paul Patti, Freedom, and Aunts, Diane (Boone) Weaherly, Center Twp., Lisa Johns, Monaca.

Surviving is his father, Doug Shields of Monaca, Aunts Deborah (Tom) Polce, Waltina Patti, both of Freedom, Marianne Johns, Coraopolis, Regina (Eugene) McClain, Chris Fisher, both of Monaca. Cousins, Charlotte (John) Lovett and family, Baden, Paul Patti Jr., Freedom, Jennifer (Rob) Ivanisin, Ambridge, Jessica (Carl) Magill, Beaver, Ryan McClain, Monaca, Aulbrey Rose (Tom) Patterson, Baden, Hillary Klingseisn, Las Vegas, NV, Dana Crabtree-Miller (Brian), Negley, OH, Bobby Crabtree, Aliquippa, and 16 second cousins.

Sean grew up in Monaca and attended New Horizon School in Beaver. He also spent most of his adult life attending BCRC and WIN services where he both worked and volunteered while doing different things in the community. Sean had a smile that was contagious and he brought joy to the people he interacted with daily. He loved animals (JoJo), playing video games, listening to music, rollercoasters, swimming and collecting rocks. Everyone know him by his flat cap hat and joyful demeanor.

Sean, you will always be remembered for being helpful, thoughtful, personable and funny. Your smile and memory will forever live in our hearts. We love you.

Quiet as a whisper, you silently slipped away.

Thought you were only nappy to energize for the day.

But you were sleeping more deeply than anyone can wake.

And now we spend our days missing you and crying for your sake.

For such a sudden loss, there is no way to prepare.

It's going to take a very long time to accept that you're not here.

Sean will be cremated and his ashes spread amongst a few of his favorite places. There will be no formal service at this time.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Beaver County Rehabilitation Center (BCRC), or New Horizon School in Beaver.
