Alanna L Turner, age 63, of Rockford, Illinois passed on Wednesday, March 18, 2026. She was born June 25, 1962 to Freddie and Ida (Olson) Largo in Chicago, Illinois. She graduated from Auburn High School in Rockford, Illinois. Alanna married Dale Turner, on February 9, 1980 at First Free Church in Rockford, Illinois.
Alanna enjoyed spending time in her garden, playing disc golf, and caring for the horses she had in her younger years. She had been in the Auburn Marching Band in high school and had won awards for her artistic drawings. Her family and friends often received envelopes with beautifully written calligraphy from Alanna. She had a love for animals, especially her dog, Bobby. On Saturdays you could find her shopping at local thrift stores with her sister, Alise. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Dale Turner; children, Naomi (James) Maddux, Bruce (Laura) Turner, and Jerod Turner; grandchildren, James Maddux, Ashley Maddux, Blake Maddux, Bruce Turner II, Sawyer Turner, Conlan Turner, Derek Turner, Emma Turner, Eva Turner, Jaxon Turner, and Liam Turner; mother, Ida Largo; siblings, Aron Largo, Alise Largo, and Alfred Largo; bonus daughter, Magen Adams; special friend, Tracie Mullin; and dog, Bobby along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father, Freddie Largo; grandson, Cody Maddux; and brother, Tony Largo.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Northern Illinois Hospice and Dr. Hartig and staff at U.W. Madison for their compassionate care of Alanna.
A memorial visitation for Alanna will be held on Saturday, March 28 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Memorial Baptist Church, 7007 Flora Rd, Rockford, IL 61101 with a service to follow at 11:00 am. Entombment at Willwood Burial Park.
