Betty Jane Gilbert, 88, of Rockford passed away peacefully Monday, November 3, 2014 at River Bluff Nursing Home after a short illness. Born August 9, 1926 in Knoxville, TN, to Charles and Bessie (Henry) Lee.
She would later marry the love of her life Charles Gilbert.
Betty was a Christian woman devoted to worshipping and serving the Lord.
She will be truly missed.
Survivors include her only son, Dan Babcock; 2 grandchildren, Danny and Angela; 4 great grandchildren, Nickie, Emily, Junell, and Jake; 2 great great grandchildren; and many wonderful friends.
Predeceased by her husband; parents; 4 brothers, Robert, Charles, Frank, and Ronnie.
