Brian C. Hammond, 57, of Machesney Park, IL, passed away surrounded by his loving family after a short illness. Brian was born November 15, 1960 in Aurora, IL, the son of Richard and Mildred (DeWolf) Hammond. Brian married Debra Shank. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and junking. Brian loved being with his dog, Tank. Most of all, he loved being around his grandchildren, and his great-grandson.
Brian is loved and missed by his wife, Debra; children, Trisha Shank, Jason (Ashley Robbins) Hammond, and Jeremy Hammond; grandchildren, Javier (Lexi Johnson) Montoya, Claudia Ralston, Nicholas Ralston, Jr., Jayden Hammond, Kayleigh Kirby, and Jaxon Hammond; great-grandson, Kyrie Nix Montoya; siblings, Brad (Julie), Steve (Jordy); Cathy, Bobby, Bonnie, and David; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, Brett, Mark, Terry, Carol, Nancy, and Patty.
A time of sharing will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 26, 2018 at Advantage Funeral Home, 7000 W. State St, Rockford, IL 61102. A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m., until the time of service. Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
