

Carmen Cathleen Lameyer (Dwyer), 66, of Machesney Park, passed away on December 11th, 2023 at Swedish American Hospital. Carmen was born on December 8th, 1957 to Bernard and Elisabeth (Steger) Dwyer in Rockford, IL. She was one of five children.
Carmen married Bruce Lameyer in 1975. They had one daughter, Angela Lameyer. 3 grandchildren: Tyler Creviston(Emily), Stephany Luse (Jeremy), and Marissa Creviston. 1 Great-grandson: Gerald Creviston
Carmen was extremely passionate towards her many furry canine companions throughout her journey here. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and always had a listening ear for them. She taught them not to take life so seriously. She brought joy to even the most mundane tasks. Her sense of humor rubbed off onto her grandchildren. She provided a space with love, laughter, and comfort that her grandchildren will remember every time they think of her. She spent many years as a hospitality chef and her cooking will be missed.
In her free time, Carmen enjoyed the ocean, Tennessee mountains, country music, and drag racing. She loved family sitcoms such as George Lopez, Everybody Loves Raymond, Reba, Golden Girls, The Middle, 8 Simple Rules, Home Improvement, Family Matters, I Love Lucy, Mama’s Family, and so much more.
Carmen is predeceased by her mother, father, and a sister. She is survived by her husband, daughter, grandchildren, great grandson, and siblings.
Carmen is, and will forever be, deeply missed.
