Donald C. Woods

Donald C. Woods, 52, of Rockford, passed away suddenly Thursday, July 18, 2019. He was born June 30, 1967 in Chicago, IL, the son of E. John and Marjorie (Pollack) Woods. Don married Carolyn Messenger on December 12, 2012 in Rockford. He was employed in maintenance at Cintas for the last 5 years. Don was known as the jack of all trades and enjoyed building things. He loved the great outdoors, and did everything from fishing to camping to hunting and above all boating. Don lit up every room he walked into and was the life of the party. Don is loved and will be deeply missed.

Don is loved by his mother, Marjorie (Bruce) Sutcliffe; wife, Carolyn; children, Matthew Conklin, Deonna Woods, Stephanie Woods, Christopher Woods, and Samantha Johnson; step-sons, Jose (Josephine) Andrade, Jeff Adams, Steve Adams, and Christopher (Melinda) Fuller; several grandchildren; siblings, Teresa (Jeff) Shuga, and Kathleen (Danny) Warren, as well as numerous nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, John.

A memorial gathering will be held from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m., Saturday, July 27, 2019 at Advantage Funeral Home, 7000 W. State Street, Rockford, IL 61102.
