Duane Charles Hatfield, 80, passed away November 13, 2020. He was born on May 4, 1940 in West Lima Wisconsin to George and Viva Hatfield. He served his community as a Family service Councilor at Willwood Burial Park for a number of years, as well as over 10 years of service at Willowglen Academy in Freeport IL, providing disability services and support. Duane was an avid Chicago Bears and Chicago Cubs fan. He was a dedicated father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was the type of man who came for support to his family when they needed him. He will be missed by many.
He is survived by his children; Diane (Orin) Snodgrass, Kimberly (David) Gorsegner, Brad (Trisha) Hatfield, Randy (Suk) Hatfield, Bobby (Harriet) Hatfield, Deanna Klein, Jeff (Sylvia) Palmer, and Debbie Wixom. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He is predeceased by his wives; Helen Hatfield, and Judith Hatfield, his parents; George and Viva, siblings; Cecil Hatfield, and Lavonne Hatfield, his son; Jim Palmer, as well as his grandchild; Whitney Wixom.
Cremation rites have been accorded and no services are scheduled at this time.
