He married Betty Daniels on June 14, 1971 and worked at Quaker Oats for 18 years as a supervisor.
Dwight liked to take care of everyone, especially his “grand dog” Diesel, he liked to say that he was “baptized 3 times a Baptist”. His favorite times were sitting on the porch.
He is survived by his wife, Betty; children, Michelle (Dave) Entwistle, Melissa (Reggie) Burdin, and Travis (Julie) Burdin; five grandchildren and one great granddaughter due in September. He is also survived by a brother, Timmy Jones and several nieces and nephews.
Dwight is preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Jerry Johnson, Lindell Burdin, Wendell Burdin, Joe Burdin, Jimmy Burdin, Laverne Guthrie, Myrna Parks, Barbara Davis and his twin sister, Diane Jones.
Funeral Service will be at 2pm, Friday, June 14, 2013 at Advantage Funeral and Cremation Services, 7000 West State Street, Rockford. Pastor Darren Loeppky will be officiating. Visitation will be held from 1pm to time of service. Cremation rites will be accorded.
