Frank G. Wonder, 82, Rockford, passed away on August 3, 2013 at Rockford Memorial Hospital. He was born on September 30, 1930 to Frank J. and Hazel (Meyers) Wonder in Rockford. He served in the U.S. Army from 1951 to 1953 in the Korean War and married Thelma Miller on July 20, 1951.
He loved to travel to Florida, working in his garden, flowers and his dogs.
Frank is survived by his wife, Thelma; mother, Hazel; children, Judy (Dave) Toney, Dan (Joyce) Wonder, Penny Owens, and Kelly (Cris) Kearney. He is also survived by his grand children; Brandan, Dustin, Heather, Shawnta, Cory, Destiny, Honey, Jessica, Jennifer, Jason and Judi; great grandchildren, Makayla, Dakota, Tayden, and Alona; and sister, Doris (Ed) Froning.
He is preceded in death by his father, Frank J.
Funeral service will be held at 10am, Wednesday August 7, 2013 at Advantage Funeral and Cremation Services, 7000 West State Street, Rockford. Visitation will be held from 9am to the time of service. Interment will be at Willwood Burial Park.
