Geneva was in the first graduating class of West High School, class of 1941.
She later married Joseph C. Swinbank on December 16, 1944, in Rockford.
Geneva was a member of the Cardinal Capers RV camping club. She traveled throughout the fifty states, Canada, and Mexico. She also enjoyed reading, doing search a word puzzles, and collecting teddy bears. She bowled for 35 years and was an election judge.
Geneva leaves to cherish her loving memory, daughter, Barb (Dave) Gustin; son, Ken Swinbank; grandchildren, Christine Gustin, Rebecca Kunz, and Jeffrey (Jessica) Gustin; great-grandchildren, Ciara Kunz, Willow Gustin, and Jonathen Smith.
She is predeceased by her husband; parents; sister, Ester; brothers, Ivan, Howard, and Merle.
Funeral Service 2p.m. Saturday May 18, 2013 at Advantage Funeral and Cremation Services, 7000 W. State St, Rockford, IL, 61102. Pastor Anthony Maynard officiating.
