Gwendolyn J. Bowers

Gwendolyn J. Bowers, 51, of Rockford, IL, passed away suddenly Sunday evening, June 27, 2021. She was born February 4, 1970 in Norwalk, CT, the daughter of George L. and Dorothy R. (Norton) Fox, Jr. Gwen graduated from Barrington High School and went on to attend college. Gwendolyn married Donald D. Bowers on May 17, 2013. She was employed in customer service for many years, most recently at BMO Bank. Gwen enjoyed sailing with her family and friends when she lived in Florida. She liked camping, music, and being outdoors. Gwen was an animal lover, especially cats. In her younger years, she loved going to concerts and riding horses.

Gwendolyn is loved and missed by her husband, Donnie; siblings, Sheri (Tony) Krizek, George L. (Donica) Fox III and their children, Nicole (Zachary Kron) and their daughter, Charlotte, Jamie, and Mitchell, and Darlene (Tim) Fulkerson and their child, Harmony. She was preceded in death by her parents.
