Idella Rainer.

Idella Rainer, 75, of Rockford died on Sunday, January 21, 2018 peacefully with her loved ones at her side. She was born on May 21, 1942 in Athens, Alabama the daughter of Jerry and DeElla McLin. Idella lived 74 years in Rockford. She married Luther Rainer Sr. on June 28th 1963. Idella became one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in 1973. Idella was a kind, humble, and very generous person. She was always concerned about the welfare of others. She appeared shy upon first meeting her, but once she got to know you she would talk to you for hours. Idella was a devoted wife and mother. Her family meant the world to her. Idella leaves many loving memories to cherish by her husband, Luther Rainer Sr., daughters Gwendolyn Jones, Michele (Anthony) Beeks, Elissa (Oliver) Sigler, sons Luther (Dawn) Rainer Jr. and Jerry (Rose) Rainer. Idella has nine grandchildren, Craig Jones Jr, Justin (Sandra) Jones, DeLeon Addison, Jeremy (Courtney) Rainer, Garren(Khaylan) Rainer, Briana Beeks, Jordan Rainer, Jayla Beeks and Alexia Beeks. Idella has nine great grandchildren. She leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents Jerry and DeElla McLin, her brother Roy McLin and her sister Irene Denny. Service to commemorate Idella’s life will be 2:00 pm Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses 3645 W. Riverside Blvd in Rockford.
