Born in Belvidere, on May 28, 1937 to Foster and Loretta (Olson) Magee.
Jack went on to marry Marlene Fischer on August 18, 1984.
He proudly served his country in the US Navy. He was a member of the American Legion, also a fifty year member and National Commander of the Navy Club.
Jack retired from Sundstrand after 31 years of service.
He was happiest when he was enjoying the company of his family and friends, over a good meal.
Survivors include, his wife, Marlene Magee, children, Vickie (Walter) Pfeilschifter, Cherie (Jim) Kitzmiller, Karen (Kendall) Tucker, Sherrie Jenkins, Gerald (Melinda) Arndt, brothers, Donnie (Doreen) Magee, Mike (Dixie) Magee, 9 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and son-in-law, Garret Jenkins.
A celebration of life will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, June 14, 2014 at Navy Club of Rockford, 2324 Charles St. as a farewell to the Handsome Hunk on Highcrest. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family. Online condolences may be submitted at www.advantagerockford.com
