Josephine McGuire, 81, of Rockford, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, October 3, 2017. Born February 5, 1936 in Rockford, IL. Daughter of Virgil and Rose (Debennita) Cortez. Married Grover Cleveland McGuire on June 21, 1952. He predeceased her on February 3, 1992. Josephine found enjoyment in playing Bingo, playing Lottery tickets, listening to country music and watching game shows. Her greatest enjoyment was spent with her family and her dog, Rusty.

Visitation from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, October 8 at Advantage Funeral Home, 7000 West State St, Rockford. Burial will be a later date.
