Karen I. Ross

Machesney Park --- Karen I. Ross , 66, departed this earthly life early Wednesday morning , January 14, 2015 . Karen was born on October 4, 1948 in Vandalia , IL to Irene and Wayne Richards. Attended Sterling High School. Married James A. Ross II on August 5, 1967 at Community Presbyterian Church in Rock Falls , IL .

She was a happy stay at home proud mom, loving wife and caring grandma. She just always wanted everybody to be happy. Enjoyed bowling, shopping, watching wrestling and soap operas ; being with friends and family ; and also loved Elvis Presley and watching birds, butterflies and squirrels. She was always up early with her hair , make-up and nails done. She was loved and adored by many and will be dearly missed.

She was predeceased by her father, grandparents on both sides, mother in law, Helen Ross and father in law, Albert Ross.

Survivors she left behind include her husband- Jim, son- James Ross(Julie), daughter- Kellie Blade(David), son- Martin Ross(Becky), mother- Irene Richards, brother- Clarence Dively(Bea), brother- Chuck Richards(Lois), sister- Dora Davison(Bill), brother- Terry Richards(Loretta), sister- Diana Stethens(Richard), sister- Darlene Smith(Robert). Grandchildren- Adam Blade(Andrea), Samantha Vaughn , Jessica Ross(Ken), Kayla Kent(Jason), Alissa Wiggett, Anthony Blade, Jarrett Ross, Trevor Ross, Jesse Blade, Alexander Ross. Great grand children, Brayden Blade, Tanner Vaughn, Addison Ebert, Mason Wenger, Jaycee Skilling, Juniper Kent ,& Aubrielle Blade. Also several nieces, nephews & close friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 19, 2015 at Advantage Funeral Home- 7000 W. State St. in Rockford. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until time of service on Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. in lieu of flowers - please consider contributions to the family
