Kenneth M Ross Sr.

Kenneth M. Ross, Sr., 68 of Machesney Park, IL, passed away Thursday afternoon, December 17, 2020 at Amberwood Care Center. He was born April 5, 1951 in Rockford, IL, the son of Clayton and Joyce (Swick) Ross. Ken proudly served in the United States Marine Corp. Ken worked in the construction industry for many years. He was a member of the Eagle’s Club. Ken enjoyed playing cards, watching movies, and collecting coins, knives and model cars.

Ken is missed by his children, Tanya (Paul Shroyer) Ross and Kenneth M. Ross, Jr; grandchildren, Javier Cadena, Esperanza (Jeff) McCoy and Maria (Chris) Brown; 13 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Carla, Sharon, George, Kevin and Jeff. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Debbie and brother Steve.

A walk through visitation 9-10 a.m., Monday, January 4, 2021 at Advantage Funeral Home, 7000 W. State St. Rockford, IL 61102. A private funeral service will take place. Burial in Willwood Burial Park.
