Kimberly Ann (Tackett) Selchow passed unexpectedly on the morning of Sunday, July 20th, 2025. Born to the late Myrna and Ronald Tackett on February 4th, 1971 in Rockford, IL, she attended Auburn High School. Kim's passion for helping people led her to work in the insurance industry for many years. A tenacious and deeply loving friend, she fostered close friendships in childhood that carried her through life. Kim enjoyed reading, cross-stitching, games of all kinds, and planting flowers in the spring. Over the years, she had many beloved pets.
She is survived by her fiancé and long-term partner, Michael Singery; children, Jami Merriweather, Nicholas Hillhouse, Jessie (Branden) Singery, and Cassidee (Salvadore) Krischke; brother, Randy (Julie) Tackett; two nephews, and eight grandchildren. Preceded in death by her youngest son, Connor Singery and her parents.
We celebrate her love and life on Sunday, August 17th at 1pm at Willwood Burial Park.
