Kyle J. Malott, 25, Rockford, died on Sunday, August 15, 2010. Born on October 3, 1984 in Denver, CO to David and Susan (Kenner) Malott. Graduated from Christian Life in 2003. Employed at VersaCold in Belvidere, IL. Kyle was an avid sports fan. He loved the Cubs, Bears, and the Michigan Wolverines. Kyle was the MVP (pitcher) of the Rockford Cardinals in Little League and went on to play 4 years for Christian Life Baseball Team. He was also a member of softball teams Team FO SHO and Team Drew Crew.
Survivors include his mother, Susan (Joel) Jacobson; father, David (Sara) Malott; sister, Amber; stepsister, Emily; grandparents, Ila Belle Kenner, Phyllis (Archer) Malott, Sally (Gary) Campbell; many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Predeceased by his grandfather, Gary Kenner.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, August 20, 2010 at Memorial Baptist Church, 7007 Flora Dr., Rockford, officiated by Rev. Ralph Martin. Visitation will be on Thursday Evening, August 19th from 5-8 p.m. at Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services Chapel, 7000 West State St., Rockford, and on Friday one hour prior to the funeral service at the church. Burial in Willwood Burial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family.
