

Larry R. Farr, 71, of Rockford, died Wednesday January 22, 2014 at home surrounded by his loving family. He will forever be in the hearts of all those who loved him. Larry was born on April 9, 1942 in Pocahontas, Arkansas to John and Lora Farr. Resided in Rockford for 64 years, he married the love of his life, Barbara A. Germann on Sept. 19, 1964.
He started Masters Plating Co., Inc. in 1977 and has been the owner and operator for the last 37 years, never truly retiring as he was passionate about his family business. He enjoyed spending time with his family, singing while playing the guitar and spending time outdoors along the Sugar River in Wisconsin.
Life is not measured in how many years we live, it’s measured in the lives we have touched and Larry touched so many lives with his sense of humor, kindness and love of life. He will be greatly missed by so many.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 49 years, Barbara, daughters, Bonnie Farr (Shane Johnson), Michelle (Alberto) Lara; son, Larry(Tracey) Farr all of Rockford and five grand-boys, Raymond, Evan and Grant Farr; and Tino and Leonardo Lara.
Larry is also survived by his brother, Dale Farr and Family
Larry dearly missed growing up without his Dad, and will finally meet him again. Joined together in heaven are his parents, 1 sister and 3 brothers, which includes his identical twin that passed away in infancy.
Funeral service will be at 1pm, Wednesday January 29, 2014 at Advantage Funeral and Cremation Services, 7000 W. State St, Rockford. Pastor Ron Meyer will be officiating. Visitation will be from 5pm to 7pm on Tuesday, January 28 at Advantage. Interment will be at Willwood Burial Park.
