Linda Ann Borucki, age 82, adoring wife to her surviving husband, John J. Borucki for 28 years, passed away in the early afternoon of the 20th of June after her courageous battle of long term illnesses. Linda was born in 1941 in Chicago, Illinois, where she grew up on Norwood Street in Chicago with her deceased loving mother, Bernice Marie Vannerson, and her surviving brother and sister, William Vannerson and Carol Alcoe.
Linda had three children born from her and one step son who survives her, Shari Lynn Rospond, married to Randall Rospond, Amy Lynn Ramos, married to Michael Ramos and Johnny James Borucki Junior. She also is survived by three grandchildren, Dane, Miles and Pierce Ramos.
Linda was a gifted artist creating so many pieces of art over her lifetime in so many types of media that she should have had her own gallery. Her last fabulous creations were hand carved gourds that she designed, carved and painted. She won first place ribbons and best of show at the Winnebago FairGrounds three years in a row. Nature was her inspiration for her art.
Linda and John began living farm life after buying a home with farmland and moving to Pecatonica, Illinois, naming it “Rolling Ten Acres”. They breed and raised Haflinger horses, training them to pull carts, which they then rode in many parade events. They also raised many other animals over the years. She was an avid animal lover, especially fond of her many kitty cats. She loved the quiet life in the county with her husband.
Linda loved visiting Maui, Hawaii where her daughters live. She took home island inspiration to create her ocean themed art gourds. She loved swimming in the ocean, whale watching, and visiting tropical paradise. She loved holding her grandsons after their births in 2011 and 2013.
Linda had a contagious smile and she was always warm and welcoming to others. She will be dearly missed by all that knew her. You are in God’s hands now, our beloved mother and wife.
Per Linda's wishes no services are to be held.
