Marliss Joann Roberts

Marliss “Joann” Roberts, 76, of Rockford, passed away peacefully, Sunday, May 20, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. She was born February 1, 1942 in Fountain Green, IL, the daughter of William T. and Reva M. (Londrie) Carroll. She graduated from Rock Island High School in 1960. Joann worked at Amerock as a machine operator retiring after 30 years of service. She loved gardening, especially in her roses and large vegetable garden. Joann loved bingo, and especially her cat, Missy.

Joann is loved and missed by her children, Trudy (David) Bahr, Jim Roberts, Tina (Richie) West, Sheila (Darrell) Shuga; sister, Marilyn Sinclair; brother, Freddie Carroll; 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Norman Oscar Swenson, Jr., and siblings, Alanna Krack, Ronald Hoover, Harold Carroll, and Connie Carroll.
