Patricia S. Carlson, 89, of Machesney Park, Illinois, passed away on April 6, 2026. Patricia was born on March 12, 1937, to Martin and Marie Peter in Rockford. She graduated from West High School. Patricia was a loyal fan of the Chicago Cubs, as well as an avid bowler. She was active in bowling leagues at Park Lanes up until the last few years with her dear friend Connie Curtis. Patricia was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church of Machesney Park for many years.
Patricia is survived by her children, Vickie (Gerald) Lawson, Jim (Frances) Carlson, and precious Jeff (Cyndi) Carlson; grandchildren, Andrew (Amanda) Lawson, Josh Barrow, Nick Barrow, Devin Moag, Nate Carlson, Ryan Carlson, Trey Carlson, Trenna Carlson, Trey Coates, Jackson Coates, Reece Coates, and Caroline Coates; great-grandchildren, Abigail Lawson, Blake Lawson, Elizabeth Barrow, Sawyer Coates, and Cooper Coates; nieces, Patti Wenger and Tammy Dolphin; many extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald, in 2009; parents, Martin and Marie; sister, Jackie Parks.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Concordia Lutheran Church of Machesney Park.
