Paul Anthony Arduino, age 74, of Loves Park, Illinois passed away on Thursday, September 5, 2024. He was born March 14, 1950 in Rockford, Illinois to Bernadette (Basile) and Anthony Arduino. Paul graduated from Auburn High School in 1968 and went on to attend Rock Valley Community College. He later graduated from Milton College with a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education.
Paul’s favorite pastime was to train and show horses. As a music teacher he enjoyed big band music and playing the trumpet more than any other instrument. He liked to fish and go to garage sales. Paul really enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, when he wasn’t able to see them he would always be sure he knew what they had been up to and their latest milestones.
Paul is survived by his children, Nick (Karen Casey) Arduino and Michael (Heather Jones) Arduino; grandchildren, Tiana Ann-Marie Arduino and Ellie Mae Arduino; brothers, Tony “Nino” Arduino and Tim Arduino; the mother of his children, Kris Arduino; close cousins, Mike and Bill Arduino; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his son, Matthew Arduino; parents, Tony and Bernadette Arduino; and sister, Vicky Purnell.
A funeral mass will be held for Paul on Friday, September 20 at 11:00 am at Holy Family Catholic Church, 4401 Highcrest Rd, Rockford, IL 61107. A luncheon will follow.
