Robert E. Keiser, 92, of Winnebago, IL, passed away peacefully, Wednesday evening, October 19, 2022 surrounded by his loving family. He was born June 26, 1930 in Rockford, IL, the son of Earl and Lillian (Etnyre) Keiser. Robert married the love of his life, Beverly Flynn on August 6, 1950. He enlisted in the Air Force in 1950, and was in Korea having been assigned to the Fifth Air Force Third Bomb Group of the Far East Air Force. Upon completion of his tour in Korea, he was assigned to the strategic air command at Offutt Air Force Base. Upon completion of his military term, he was in business with his father for a short period of time. He worked in the construction sales. He spent ten years as a district sales manager for a Textron division. In 1980, he established his own construction firm, he also founded a construction management firm, and was the operations manager for a prominent construction management firm in California, retiring in 2001. He was the proud owners of Keiser Design/ Build, LLC. Robert was a faithful member of Memorial Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon under Dr. Ralph Martin; as well as a member of Berean Baptist Church for the last 12 years. He enjoyed photography and was very artistic. Most of all, Robert will be remembered as a hardworking man who treasured his family, especially his grandchildren.
Robert is loved and missed by his daughters, Beth Nelson, Robin (John) Martin and Lynn Allabaugh; grandchildren, Bonnie (Charles) Wingo, Jonathan Martin, Emily Jordan, Rebecca Martin, Nathaniel Martin, Kelly (Luke) Menke, Marcus Allabaugh, Thomas Allabaugh, Annie Allabaugh, Katie Nelson, Bobby Nelson, Samantha Nelson and Edward Johnson; great-grandchildren, Natalie, Serenity, Taylor, Naleah, Charles Russell, Leia, Arthur, Emelia, Mia, Cody and Aubrey; special sister-in-law, Illa Belle Kenner as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Beverly and brothers, Jon and Lee Keiser.
A visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 a.m., Monday, October 31, 2022 at Advantage Funeral Home, 7000 W. State Street, Rockford, IL 61102 with a funeral service to begin at 11:00 a.m. Burial in Willwood Burial Park.
