Sharon Anne Ware

Sharon Anne Ware, 79, of Rockford, Illinois passed away on Saturday, July 22, 2023 at home surrounded by her family. Sharon was born February 6, 1944 in Rockford, Illinois, the daughter of Bernard and Mary (Farley) Goodrich. She attended St. Patrick's Middle School and was a graduate of Muldoon High School class of 1962. She married Harold L. Ware on February 8, 1969 in Rockford, Illinois in St. Patrick Catholic Church. Sharon owned her own cleaning service and was also employed by UPS for 13 years until her retirement. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Rockford, Illinois. Sharon enjoyed crafting, knitting, sewing and crocheting. She also enjoyed watching her son race and flower gardening. Most of all, Sharon loved spending time with her family.

Survivors include husband, Harold L. Ware; children, Michelle (Brad Long) Reiner, Howie (Tammy Hayes) Ware, Greg Ware, Kim (Andrew) Bennett; grandchildren, Jessica (Daniel) Gonzalez, Courtney (Ryan Smith) Bell, Joshua (Stephanie) Ware, Micah (Kyle Burlingame) Clutter, Cassidy (Jordan Hermanson) Ware, Brooklynn Reiner, Jordan Reiner, Madisyn Bennett, Payton Bennett, Talyn Rudeen; great grandchildren, Giovanni Gonzalez, Gabriel Gonzalez, Arianna Gonzalez, Kennedy Bell, Angel Gonzalez, Everett Ware, Cruze Arndt; siblings, Raymond Goodrich, Dorothy (Robert) Emerick, Peggy (Pat) Kenny, Joseph Goodrich; and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents; siblings, Carolyn Garrison, Eugene Goodrich and Gary Goodrich.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, August 11, 2023 in Advantage Funeral Home, 7000 W. State Street, Rockford, Illinois, with a visitation from 1:00 PM until time of service. Entombment in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Machesney Park, Illinois. Luncheon to follow at Blackhawk Athletic Club, 2023 Broadway, Rockford, Illinois. Memorials may be given to the family.
