Shelly R. Weers

Shelly R. Weers, 43, of Poplar Grove, IL, passed away Sunday afternoon, March 12, 2023 after a sudden illness. She was born February 12, 1980 in Rockford, the daughter of Sandra Taylor. Shelly married her best friend, Robert J. Weers on March 27, 1999 in Rockford at First Assembly of God. She was employed by Chrysler for over 10 years and most recently was employed by Woodward. She and her family attended Life Church in Roscoe. She loved worshiping at church and listening to worship music. Most of all, Shelly strongly believed in Jesus Christ, the word of God, and was a pursuer of the truth. Shelly was a protective and loving mother to her four children. She enjoyed playing video games with her family and friends.

Shelly is loved and missed by her husband, Robert J. Weers; children, Josiah “Si”, Triana “Tree,” Micah and Judah; mother-in-law, Brenda Weers; sister-in-law, Susan Weers; nieces, Rebekah and Tania; special family friends in the Perry Clan; as well as the family of the Grove Fellowship and Life Church. She was preceded in death by her mother, Sandra Taylor and father-in-law, Robert D. Weers.
