Shirley L. Myers

Shirley L Myers (Loveland), a daughter born on January 26th, 1947 in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas to Mildred Johnson and John Loveland. She lived a whole life with many memories, good and bad. Even though she lived her life, she was still taken from this family too soon. She is in a better place, visiting with the daughter that she lost. She grew up and knew she wanted a family. She got married at a young age to James C. Myers (deceased) and they made a life in Rockford, IL. They gave birth to five beautiful souls. One son James H. Myers (Mary) and four daughters: Tina Myers, Teresa Myers-Stowe (deceased), Melissa Rozell (Brian) and Robin Wood (john). Those five souls carried a part of her onto twenty-one children making her grandma to Linda, Debbie, David, Shawn Minick, Misty Stowe, Dale Stowe Jr., Jamie Stowe, Chad Stowe, Rachel Stowe, James Myers, Kalyn Myers ( Ryan Kiltz), Megan Myers, Josh Myers, Terry Lee (Caitlin Wardwell), Ashley Lee, Amber Lee, Cassandra Miley, Ryan Miley, Amanda Lee, Dustin Wood, Jaden Wood. She even lived long enough to see twenty-one great-grandchildren born: Ariana, Jasmine, Nakiya, Makayla, Jordan, Jesse, Dustin, Ethan, Dexter, Omarion, Samiyah, Marcella, Jacob, Abby, Kobe, Devin, Xander, Brielle, Isabella, Scarlett and Flynn. She also had many wonderful brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. She was loving, kind and loved to talk to everyone.

A service to celebrate Shirley’s life will be 2:00 p.m. Friday April 11, 2014 at Advantage Funeral Home 7000 W. State St. in Rockford with visitation from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Willwood Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.advantagerockford.com
