

Shirley F. Webster went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, December 15th, 2021. Born on May 26th, 1939 to Oliver and Mary (Horner) Carlson. Shirley married the love of her life Carl I Webster on March 7th, 1959. She was a devoted, hard- working, faithful helpmate for over 62 years. Together they had 5 children.
Shirley loved serving the Lord and her church body. She enjoyed taking meals to a family in need -even after her cancer diagnosis. She loved working with children and teaching Sunday School. She will be most remembered for all of the bridal showers, baby showers, senior activities, church fellowships and funeral luncheons that she helped plan, organize and serve.
Shirley was also a very giving person. She gave of her home by hosting missionaries from all over the world. She welcomed traveling sport and choral groups along with out of town guests coming to a wedding.
She enjoyed gardening and sharing her produce with others. She was also very special to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She gave of her time and energy to help in anyway she could to support her family. Her great grandchildren loved her canned green beans and Christmas parties in her home.
Most importantly she loved the Lord and reading her Bible. She prayed daily for her family and had a deep desire that they would know and love the Lord as she did.
Left to cherish her memory: her husband Carl, daughter Linda (Tom) Whitford, sons: Daniel Webster, David (Shannon) Webster, Brian (Sharda) Webster, daughter in law Gigi Webster. Grandchildren Emily (Jacob) Tanker, Ashley (Jason) Tempin, Maverick Stuen, Morgan Webster and Braxton Webster. Great grandchildren Addyson, Alyvia, Eli, Wesley, Tobias, Lucas, Theodore, Lincoln, Charlotte, Wyatt and Carson.
Preceded in death by her son Thomas, parents Oliver and Mary, and brother Dale Carlson.
A funeral for Shirley is scheduled for Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at 11am at Berean Baptist Church Located at 5626 Safford Rd, Rockford, IL 61101. A visitation will take place at 9:30am until the time of service. Burial to follow in Willwood Burial Park.
In lieu of flowers a memorial gift may be given to the Berean Baptist Church in memory of Shirley.
