Vicki M. Johnson, 70, of Loves Park, Illinois, passed away Saturday, March 22, 2025, at Brookdale Capitol in Brookfield, Wisconsin. Vicki was born on February 3, 1955, and grew up in the Rockford area. She attended Harlem High School and furthered her education at Rock Valley College. Throughout her years, Vicki taught childbirth classes, volunteered at the Rockford Crisis Pregnancy Center, and was a midwife for 30 years. She was a passionate advocate for unborn children and offered many avenues of support to expectant mothers in our community.
Vicki is survived by her 3 daughters, Michelle Born, Jennifer Sanchez, and Lindsey Shuga; 12 beloved grandchildren; step-father, Ed Hilkoski; many extended family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Ida Hilkoski; adopted parents, Laverne and Anna Hemmingson; many treasured cats throughout her life.
A graveside service for Vicki will take place Friday, March 28, 2025, at 3:00 PM, in Sunset Memorial Gardens, 8800 North Alpine Road, Machesney Park, Illinois 61115.
