William A. Anderson

William A. Anderson, 88, formerly of Rockford, currently of Valparaiso, Indiana died Sunday, March 15, 2015 in his daughter’s home in Oswego, Illinois. He was born April 20, 1926, the son of Dewey and Blanche Anderson. He served in the US Air Force from 1944-1946 and graduated from Valparaiso University in 1950. He was married to his wife Marjorie for 47 years until her passing in 1999. He was a bank president in Rockford, Belvidere and Mt. Morris until his retirement in 1991. He later married Lucille Wright- Saylor in 2005 and lived in Valparaiso, Indiana until his death.

Survivors include his wife, Lucille; children Peggy (Larry) Anderson and their children Blair (Jeff) Diggle; Jamie (Brian) Hartsell; Melissa (Tom) Brown and Ryan (Kaitlin); daughter Lori Neslund and her children Kaylee, Korey and Kody Neslund; eight great grandchildren, Luke, Logan and Lincoln Diggle; Macy and Jude Hartsell; Michael and Kyle Brown; and Evelyn Anderson; his wife’s children Thomas (Senilla); David (Kathy) and Ann Illic and their children and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters Mary Powers and Carol Logan; wife Marjorie and Lucille’s son Timothy (Cheryl). Interment will be private at Sunset Cemetery in Machesney Park.
