William Manley Blazer, 70, of Poplar Grove, passed away June 2, 2015 in Rockford, at OSF St. Anthony Hospital. Born March 9, 1945 in Capron; he was the son of Howard W. and Gladys J. (Rhodes) Blazer. He married Linda M. Saunders on October 17, 1975 in Woodstock.
He retired from Arnold’s Engineering after 20 years of employment.
William enjoyed fishing, gardening, football and spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Linda M. Blazer; son, Ryan Burchard; daughters, Tina (Brian) Johnson and Tara (Tim) Powell; grandchildren, Shelby, Cody, and Randy Burchard, Emily and Rachel Johnson, Sabree and Caylee Powell; siblings, Gene Blazer, Terry Blazer, Tim (Nancy) Blazer, Karen Blazer, Ricky Blazer, and Denny Blazer; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was predeceased by his parents; daughter, Robin Blazer; sisters, Kay Blazer and Gladys “Murphy” Larkins; brothers, Ron and Howard Blazer.
A Celebration of William’s life will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services.
