He was known for his gentle temperament, good humor and sharp wit. His pastimes in recent years included his beloved morning coffee, watching his favorite TV shows, spending time with family and “dubbing” around the house while wrapped up in his robe.
After high school, Pete enlisted in the Navy and served during the Vietnam War. He then was employed for over 20 years in the construction industry, primarily with H.E. Callahan Construction Co. in Auburn.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Penny Martin; three children: Michael Lee Blais (Mary Therese Fleming) of Portland, Nicholas A. Blais of Peru, and Katie L. Blais (Andrew Morton) of Rumford. He is also survived by five siblings: sisters Becky, Debbie, Gini and Cheryl and a brother John; and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents (Beryl and Paul, Sr.) and a brother Paul, Jr.
