

Mexico - Raymond Blair LeBlanc, 66, of Mexico ME passed away on August 3rd. Raymond resided in the Kimball Avenue Home in Mexico, in the company of good friends and devoted caregivers. The son of Raymond and Yvonne (Poirier) LeBlanc, Ray grew up in the village of Roxbury and was a personable and energetic worker in the family business, LeBlanc's General Store.
Ray received his education at Hope School, an institution that became a model for the state.
He went on to become a client at Hope Association, where for many years he was an active participant in the day program. Ray was a classic gentleman, a talented artist, a stock-car-racing enthusiast, and an avid fan of all sports. He and his beloved brother-in-law, Terry Smith, enjoyed many weekends together watching the game and cheering on their team. Ray enjoyed spirited conversation, held strong opinions, and spoke with confidence and creativity,. His life was filled with the joy of family, friends, and a variety of accomplishments.
Raymond was predeceased by his parents, brothers-in-law Marion Perry and Terrence Smith, and nephew Christopher Perry.
He is survived by his sister Regine Perry Smith of Rumford, sister Susan Arsenault and husband Robert of Georgia, nephew Stephen Perry of Old Town, grand-nephew Tyler Perry of Bangor, nieces Elise Abbott and husband Woody of Massachusetts and Margaret Trott and husband Robert of Texas, special cousins, many loving friends, and dedicated staff members of Hope Association.
A Celebration of Life will be held on August 23 from 1:00pm to 4:00pm at New Hope Center, 85 Lincoln Ave, Rumford ME.
