

William was born April 26, 1922 in Madison, Maine, on the family Homestead, the fourth son of Wallace A. and Nettie (Williams) Weston.
He was a graduate of Madison, ME high school and from University of Maine class of 1949 as an Agricultural Engineer.
He married Virginia F. Smith on March 25, 1945, at the Madison Congregational Church. He served in the Navy 1944-1945 on the USS Rescue in the South Pacific.
After graduation, William started his construction career with the State of NY Extension Service erecting farm buildings and later W. H. Hinman, in Westbrook, Maine. In 1962 William started with Oxford Paper Company in Rumford, Maine as a Professional Engineer and licensed land surveyor.
William was active in civic organizations including the Windham School Board and PTA, Rumford Historical Society, Rumford Parks and Recreation Board, 4-H leader, SWOAM, Maine Tree Farmer, Bethel Historical Society, and Rumford Center Village Improvement Society. He was named Rumford Citizen of the Year in 2005 and Maine Tree Farmer of the Year 1994.
He is survived by children Eileen A. (Weston) Cyr and husband Bertrand of Hermon, ME; son Dennis Weston and his wife Louise (Cayer) of Maceo, KY; son Nathan Weston and wife Kathy (Kus) of Granby, Ct.; grandchildren Stefanie (Cyr) Wainwright and husband Robb, Andrew Cyr, Jennifer (Weston) Casebolt and husband Colin, Kyle Weston and wife Leslie (Green), Dennis Weston, Joshua Weston, and Alexander Weston of Maine; great grandson Cater Casebolt; cousin Barbara (Crowell) Henning. He was predeceased by his parents, his wife Virginia 1997, brothers, Wallace 1996, Robert 2003, Donald 2009.
