Loving husband of Berenice M. Schaefer (nee Stokes); beloved father of Joy Lynn Schaefer and Chuck Schaefer; dearest grandfather of Kelly (Matt) Moushey, J.R. Christ, Michael Christ, Becca Schaefer and Chaz Schaefer; dear friend of Carol Schaefer; our dear brother-in-law, uncle and friend to many.
Charles was proud to have served his country as a Technical Sergeant in the Army during WWII. He also retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone after 50 faithful years and was a past president and active member of the Telephone Pioneers.
The funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of Hoffmeister Colonial Mortuary, 6464 Chippewa at Watson on Tues., Feb. 22, 2011 at 11:30 AM. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery.
